چکیده

This paper aims to experimentally study the fire performance of steel-reinforced concrete-filled steel tubular (SRCFST) columns without protection. Eight SRCFST specimens with cruciform section profiled were tested under ISO-834 standard fire. The various test parameters including cross-section type tube (circular or square), load ratio and eccentricity considered discussed. temperature distribution, failure modes, axial lateral deformation, resistance obtained by investigated in detail. results show that provided great confinement effect core concrete, can efficiently suppress generation development cracks concrete. diverse loading method present tendency deformation versus time curves, i.e. five stages for axially common (n = 0.4) three high > eccentric compression. critical is much lower than structures CFST at same parameters, has significant improvement compared columns. Moreover, available design evaluate applicability specimens.

Experimental and Numerical Study on Bar-Reinforced Concrete Filled Steel Tubular Columns Under Axial Compression

The behaviors of bar-reinforced concrete filled steel tubular columns subjected to axial load were studied. One plain concrete filled steel tubular column and three bar-reinforced concrete filled steel tubular columns were tested. The deformation of specimens and the strain of steel tubes were measured. Based on experimental researches, a simple numerical analysis method was presented to simula...

Mechanical Behavior of Recycled Aggregate Concrete-Filled Steel Tubular Columns before and after Fire

Recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) is an environmentally friendly building material. This paper investigates the mechanical behavior of recycled aggregate concrete filled steel tube (RACFST) columns exposed to fire. Two groups of 12 columns were designed and tested, under axial compression, before and after fire, to evaluate the degradation of bearing capacity due to fire exposure. Six specimens...

Post-local Buckling of Steel Plates in Concrete-filled Thin- Walled Steel Tubular Columns under Biaxial Loading

This paper studies the post-local buckling behaviour of steel plates in concrete-filled thin-walled steel tubular columns under biaxial loading using the finite element method. Geometric and material nonlinear finite element analyses are undertaken to investigate the post-local buckling strengths of imperfect steel plates under stress gradients. Based on the results obtained from the nonlinear ...

Experimental Study on the Fire Performance of Tubular Steel Columns with Membrane Protections for Prefabricated and Modular Steel Construction

Experimental research was conducted to study the fire resistance of steel tubular columns used in prefabricated and modular construction. In order to achieve high-efficient prefabrication and fast on-site installation, membrane protections using board products and thermal insulation blankets are adopted as the favorable protection method. Three protected tubular columns were tested in a full-sc...

Numerical and Experimental Investigations on the Behavior of Steel-reinforced Concrete Columns Subjected to Eccentric Loading

Steel-reinforced concrete (SRC) columns, which are classified as composite columns, became the most widely used in recent years; because of their extensive advantages over the reinforced concrete and the steel columns. In this paper, the ductility index and its influential factors were explored to investigate the behavior of SRC columns. A straightforward approach was then proposed by establish...
